Oceanic Whitetip Sharks, Silky Sharks, Dusky Sharks and other Pelagic species April and May are the best time of the year to see the elusive Oceanic Whitetip Shark (Carcharhinus Longimanus) in Cat Island, Bahamas.
This pelagic shark used to be one of the most abundant shark species on the planet. Their populations have now declined drastically over the last few decades due to unsustainable fishing practices. In recent years, Cat Island has become a hot spot for this sharks. Besides Oceanic Whitetips, you will also be able to encounter several other species of sharks including Silky, Dusky and pelagic species such as marlin, mahi mahi or tuna to name a few.
